About me
I'm Sachin. I've been tutoring Mathematics Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 (the old 2, 3 and 4 unit courses) for more than 20 years.
I went to James Ruse Agricultural High School and finished with a UAI of 99.25 (the UAI was the ATAR's predecessor). I went on to complete a PhD in artificial intelligence and statistics, and I now work as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Canva, where calculus, probability and statistics are part of my everyday work.
In my lessons, students learn why a method works, not just which steps to follow. Students who understand the ideas can handle the unfamiliar questions that separate a Band 5 from a Band 6.

How lessons work
1-on-1 or small group
Choose individual lessons, or learn with a small group of students working on the same course.
60 minute lessons
Each lesson runs for one hour and is built around what's happening at school and upcoming assessments.
In person or on Zoom
Come to my place in West Pennant Hills (2125), or join online from anywhere via Zoom. Online students need a tablet, a stylus and a free Canva account.

Which courses do you tutor?
Mathematics Advanced (2 unit), Mathematics Extension 1 (3 unit) and Mathematics Extension 2 (4 unit) for Years 11 and 12.
How much do lessons cost?
Your first lesson is free. After that, 1-on-1 lessons are $60 per hour for every course, in person or online. Ask me about rates for small groups.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. Every new student's first lesson is free, so you can see whether my teaching style suits you before committing to regular lessons.
Where are lessons held?
At my place in West Pennant Hills, NSW 2125, or online via Zoom. I'll send you the address when you book.
What do I need for online lessons?
You'll need a tablet and stylus, a free Canva account, Zoom and a reliable internet connection. We work through problems together on a shared Canva whiteboard, and the stylus lets you write your working just like on paper.
